Gloria Weiss, a self-taught acrylic artist, was born in Parma, Ohio and currently resides in Franklin, North
Carolina. Her work has been showcased in numerous art exhibitions throughout Highlands and Cashiers, North Carolina, reflecting her deep-rooted passion for creativity and artistic growth.
Over the years, Gloria has honed her craft through dedication and persistence. Her paintings have been featured at notable venues including the Lightwater Grill in Cashiers, the renowned Biltmore Estate, the Uptown Gallery in Franklin, and the Andrews Valley Art Gallery. Her artwork is also part of several public collections, such as the Stecoah Historical Society, Glenmary Guild, and Holy Redeemer Church in Franklin.
Additionally, she has been highlighted in the Murphy, N.C. newspaper and has shared her expertise by teaching acrylic painting both privately and at Tri-County Community College.
Gloria attributes her artistic journey to her faith in God, perseverance, and a commitment to continuous learning. She embraces innovative techniques, including stippling, to bring depth and texture.
Inspired by the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Gloria finds creative energy in the region’s barns, forests, trails, wildlife, and landscapes. Each of her paintings carries her signature phrase, “In Jesus Name,” and reflects her favorite scripture, Luke 1:37.
