Cascading Light

Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature with this stunning waterfall painting.
Inspired by Upper Dill Falls in the Nantahala National Forest, this painting explores the intricate architecture of water and stone. I was fascinated by the way the falls break across a complex face of weathered rock, creating a rhythmic descent of spray and shadow.
In this piece, the vibrant energy of the Appalachian canopy spills downward, as if the sunlight itself is tumbling over the ledges. I wanted to capture that delicate balance between the permanence of the mountain’s rugged bones and the fluid, ever-changing dance of the water. It is a celebration of the wild, refreshing pulse found deep within the Blue Ridge.
