Tumbling Waters
Original painting by Debbie Bzdyl
Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature with this stunning waterfall painting inspired by Amicalola Falls in The Southern Appalachia Mountains.
Inspired by the magnificent, sun-drenched landscape of Amicalola Falls, this piece captures the tireless energy of the tallest cascading falls in the Southeast. The title honors the Cherokee name for this majestic 729-foot descent—a place where the mountain’s warmth meets the cooling mist of a summer afternoon.
In this work, I wanted to translate the awe-inspiring movement of the water as it breaks through the Appalachian forest, focusing on the way sunlight dances in the spray to create a radiant, refreshing sanctuary on canvas.
Tumbling Waters is part of my 2026 Appalachian Waterfalls Series.
